General Illuminate Policies.

Illuminate provides a shared booking platform for convenience; however, all professionals at Illuminate operate as independent businesses. The policies outlined below represent general studio guidelines. Enforcement of these policies, including whether and how fees are applied, is at the discretion of the individual professional providing the service. Individual professionals may maintain additional or more specific policies that apply to their services.

Clients are responsible for reviewing and understanding the policies of the professional they are booking with. If you have questions about a provider’s policies, please contact them prior to booking.

  • Cancellations made the day of the appointment, with notice provided prior to the scheduled start time, will result in forfeiture of the deposit if one was paid. If no deposit was collected, a same-day cancellation fee of 30%–50% of the scheduled service total may be charged (% may vary depending on service provider). The remaining service balance is not charged. This policy is in place to encourage timely communication and to account for preparation, setup, and reserved appointment time.

  • Failure to arrive for a scheduled appointment without notice is considered a no-show. In these cases, the deposit is forfeited and up to 100% of the scheduled service amount may be charged. Future appointments may require prepayment.

  • Deposits may be required to secure appointments and are applied toward the total service cost unless otherwise stated. Deposits are generally non-refundable and subject to the cancellation and no-show policies outlined above.

  • High-ticket or extended appointments generally include services with extended appointment times (typically 2+ hours), advanced or corrective treatments, or services priced above a set threshold, as determined by the service provider.

    High-ticket and extended-length appointments require additional preparation, reserved time, and limited availability. For these services, the same cancellation, no-show, and deposit policies outlined above apply, with the following adjustments:

    • Notice Requirement: A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

    • Late Cancellations (Within 72 Hours): Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled appointment may result in forfeiture of the deposit or a charge of up to 50% of the scheduled service total if no deposit was collected.

    • No-Shows: Failure to arrive without notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit and a charge of up to 100% of the scheduled service total.
